Don’t say we didn’t warn you/a prediction. Overrated hack* sci-fi director Joss Whedon has been kicked off the women concerned.
(*To be fair, we will give Joss some credit: The X-Men comics he wrote were pretty cool)
Yesterday we reported that Warner Bros have bought the specification of the Wonder Woman script. While many people were reporting that legal step to keep the material from the streets, we reasoned that the studio probably wasn’t happy with and condemns the effort. And guess what, we were right. I hate to gloat, but it’s Joss Whedon, and that makes me happy.
Here are Whedon’s comments from his official blog:
Satin tights no longer. Joss will not be fighting for our rights after all.
(Hopefully) heard it here first: I’m no longer slated to make Wonder Woman. What? But how? My chest… very tight! Well, calm and I’ll explain as best I can. It’s pretty complicated, so bear with me. You may take on a film that no one likes. Not that complicated.
Let me stress first that everybody at the studio and silver pictures were cool and professional. We saw different movies, and in the price range this kind of movie hangs in, that won’t work. Non-sympatico. It happens all the time. I don’t think that any of this time, but he didn’t. Everyone knows how you’re taking what the conflict of this scenario, although I felt good about what you come up with that wouldn’t be a simple slam dunk. I like to think it rolled around the rim a little bit, but others may have differing views.
The worst thing that can happen in this scenario is that the studio just keeps hammering out changes and the writer falls in a horrible limbo of development. These men were clearly a blessing skip this part. So I’m a free man.
Okay, well, something. There is that “damned” movie I can finally finish polishing, and a lot of other things in the hopper I wanted to follow-up. I’m relieved and I’m disappointed, all these things lead to drink, so this is a plus. Really, you may have heard some interesting things brewing in the coming months. But all potential jets therein will be visible.
But most importantly, I never answer this question again.!!!! And you don’t have to connect all the rumors site! Finally and forever: why the representative chose to, or even a consistent front runner. I didn’t have time to waste on casting when you are busy air-adaptation scenario. (I don’t! Ri! There was a rim!) This is the greatest relief. I can do interviews again!
Thank you for your time. You are the people who make the world going. Or, no, not science.
But fear not Whedon fanboys, there wasn’t anyone (especially Gus) in the making of a good movie of Wonder Woman. So may be this is a good thing. Now you’ll have more time to petition Fox to make a second Serenity movie.
